About us
Kombinut was born from a great desire to start our own business together.
Being both real food lovers and nutritionally aware, we came to realize that we couldn’t find on the Romanian market the exact quality we aimed for some of the products used in our diet. So we decided to create home-made nut butters for private use. The total satisfaction with the result encouraged us to bring it a step further and take it seriously as a small family run business.
We are an international couple with professional backgrounds in two completely different areas, but with great enthusiasm for design and production. Andrei comes from the engineering world and Leila from art and design. Sharing the same values, we always felt that our characters were complimentary and Kombinut took shape out of this conviction.
The left side of Kombinut's brain is Andrei. He is responsible for all the analytical tasks, including problem solving, business communication and keeping processes running smoothly.
The right side of Kombinut's brain is Leila. She is responsible for most of the creative tasks, including recipes and content. All illustrations are the result of many days of handmade pencil drawing.
Both halves meet in our production boutique we like to call Nutelier.
Nutelier is the space where we create and prepare healthy and tasty products. It is a small and cozy production lab located somewhere in the mountains.
Here we process nuts, enjoy the smell of roasting them, take creative pictures, prepare packaging, and come up with new ideas.
